Position Overview

Quilter’s Corner is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Sewing Machine Sales Specialist to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who loves sewing and quilting, enjoys helping others find the right tools, and thrives in a customer-focused environment. The Sewing Machine Sales Specialist will guide customers through the process of selecting the best sewing, embroidery, serger, or longarm machine for their needs, provide demonstrations, and support customers after purchase to ensure confidence and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assess their sewing/quilting needs to recommend the right machine.

• Provide hands-on demonstrations of sewing, embroidery, serger, and longarm machines.

• Explain machine features, functions, warranties, and available financing.

• Follow up with customers after purchase to ensure satisfaction and answer questions.

• Assist with machine set-up, troubleshooting, and coordinate service appointments.

• Maintain an organized and inviting machine sales floor with proper signage, samples, and displays.

• Meet or exceed monthly sales goals.

• Stay current on new machine models, upgrades, and promotions.

• Support events such as new machine launches, in-store demos, and trade shows.

• Collaborate with the education team to schedule customer training classes.

• Maintain accurate records of sales, customer inquiries, and follow-ups.

Qualifications

• Strong interest and/or experience in sewing, quilting, embroidery, or related crafts.

• Prior retail or sales experience preferred.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Comfortable demonstrating products and teaching customers in small groups.

• Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented.

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (to move machines for setup).

• Willingness to learn technical details and new machine updates.
