Japanese Knot Bag
Make your own Japanese knot bags with this easy-to-sew pattern. The finished bag is very versatile and can be used for projects, lunches, eco-friendly gift wrapping, travel, and more.

Supplies: Bring the following to class or purchase at Quilter’s Corner with your class discount of 10%
• Pattern: “Japanese Knot Bag” by Sewn Wyoming
• Sewing Machine (in good working order) with ¼” foot and standard foot (J foot on the Brother machines)
• Sewing Machine Needles: Microtex 80/12 or Quilting 75/11
• 50 wt cotton thread to match or contrast with your fabrics (top-stitching will be visible)
• Fabric Scissors
• Rotary Cutter and mat if you are comfortable with free-hand cutting.
• Pins
• Seam Ripper
• Fabric turning tool (ball point bodkin, Clover point turner, or Purple Thang)
• Fabric: ½ yard each of outer fabric and lining. Kits are available.
Preparation for Class:
Please arrive 15 minutes early to set up your workspace.
Bring a full size template of the large size to class with you – it is easy to download the template from Sewn Wyoming’s website using the link in the pattern.
