Inspiring Serger Confidence with Kathy McMakin

Afraid of your serger? Don’t be—this powerful machine is about to become your new best friend! A serger is the perfect companion to your sewing machine, instantly giving your projects a polished, professional finish (even if you’re still learning).

In this hands-on class, you’ll discover what your serger can really do and how to use it with confidence. Learn how it works, master tension settings, stitch length, cutting width, differential feed, needle positions, all types of serger stitches, differential feed and when to engage or disengage the cutter.

You’ll practice essential construction techniques – inside and outside curves, inside and outside corners, placket and more. Gain practical troubleshooting skills that will save you time and frustration. As a BONUS, you will even master cover piping and putting in a zipper with your serger.

By the end of the session, you’ll feel empowered, inspired, and ready to take your sewing to the next level. When you maximize your serger’s potential, you maximize your own—and your projects will never look the same!
