Ruler Workshop - Flying Geese

In this class you have the opportunity to use the flying geese rulers that were demonstrated earlier this month.

Whether you want to practice making Flying Geese, or get help on a project that uses these units, we're here to help! If you want to start a small project, the Wild and Free table runner is perfect.

• Sewing Machine in good working order, with new Mictroex 80/12 or Quilting 75/11 machine needle.
• Cutting Mat
• Rotary cutter
• Ruler: Ultimate Flying Geese ruler or Wing Clipper or Folded Corner Clipper
• Pattern if you are cutting for a specific project
• Fabric  - as required for your pattern or project.
• Fabric marker
• Basic sewing supplies (50 wt thread, scissors, pins, seam ripper, etc.)
• Wild and Free, CLPCAM014, if making the table runner. Click Here for Wild and Free supplies

•       Pattern: Wild and Free – CLPCAM014 
•       Sewing Machine with 1/4” foot
•       Sewing Machine Needles: Microtex 80/12 or Quilting 75/11   
•       50 wt cotton thread 
•       Creative Grids Ultimate Flying Geese tool, CGRDH4 OR Studio 180 Wing Clipper
•       6-1/2” x 12” or larger ruler
•       6” square ruler – or similar, to easily cut small pieces 
•       Rotary Cutter
•       Cutting mat
•       Fabric marker – Frixion pen, Clover Water Soluble marker, Chalk-o-liner, etc.
•       Pins
•       Seam Ripper
•       Fabric:

Optional: Stiletto or Purple Thang

 Preparation for Class:

Pair your Geese and Background 10” squares. Choose 3 pairs.

From one, cut (4) 2-3/4” x 4-3/4” Goose rectangles and (8) 2-3/4” background squares.

 From each of the other 2 pairs, cut (1) 5-3/4” Goose square and (4) 3-1/4” background squares.
