Raw Edge Applique

Angie will share lots of tips and techniques in this class: what kinds of fusible to use, how to transfer the pattern pieces to your fabrics using both traditional methods and the Brother Scan n Cut, how to prepare multi-piece elements prior to final fusing, and different ways to finish the raw edges.

- “Chooks” pattern by Creative Abundance, or "Monstera" or "Butterflies" by Laundry Basket Quilts
- Fabrics per the pattern.
- Fusible Web – Heat n Bond Lite
- Sewing Machine capable of doing a zig-zag stitch. Applique foot is suggested.
- Sewing Machine Needles: 80/12 Super Nonstick
- 50 wt. cotton thread
- Pins
- Seam Ripper
- Rotary Cutter, ruler, and mat
If using a Scan N Cut:
- Scan N Cut machine with both scanning mat and cutting mat
- Paper Scissors
If using the Traditional Technique:
- Fine tip Sharpie pen
- Fabric Scissors
- Lightbox if you have one
