Beginning Paper Piecing

This is the perfect project to learn how to paper piece! Start with one heart and turn it into a card, make four for a cute potholder, or add more for a wall-hanging. You’ll learn the steps and process of paper piecing, and gain the confidence to tackle bigger projects.

Supplies: Bring the following to class or purchase at Quilter’s Corner with your class discount of 10%

•     Book: Show Me How to Paper Piece by Carol Doak (available at QC)
•     Sewing machine in good working order. 
•     50 wt cotton thread
•     Scissors
•     Rotary cutter
•     Add-a-quarter ruler
•     Cutting mat
•     Seam ripper
•     Fabric: per pattern instructions (1/4 yard background, 1/4 yard total assorted fabrics for hearts - scraps at least 1-1/4" wide work well)

 Optional:

•     Finger presser
•     Small iron
•     Ironing surface
•     Fabric glue stick

  Plan to arrive 15 minutes early for set-up.

No refunds are given for cancellation within 7 days of class. Refunds are given for cancellations made 8 or more days prior to class date.
