Rope Bowls 101

Join Cindy to learn rope bowl basics! Customize a bowl for Halloween - there are so many possibilities.

Rope Bowls make a great gift and are useful around the house. Cindy will show you the basics so you can make baskets with and without handles, and learn how to add fabric strips to add a pop of color.

Supplies: Bring the following to class or purchase at Quilter’s Corner with your 10% class discount:
• Zigzag Rope Sewing Projects book by Katherine Lile
• Sewing machine capable of doing a zig-zag stitch with open toe or zig-zag foot
• Denim needle
• 50 wt cotton thread, either white or a color to match your cotton scraps
• Several bobbins pre-wound with 50 wt thread
• 100% Cotton clothesline, 3/16” width – available at Quilter’s Corner
•¼” Fabrics strips
• Roxanne’s fabric glue
•Wonder clips
• Stiletto
• Pins, scissors, seam ripper
