Quilting 101

Start with 3 fabrics, and learn the basics of quilt-making. You'll learn how to read a pattern, cut fabric, piece, press, add borders, quilt, and bind.


Supply List
Bring the following to class. You are encouraged to purchase supplies at Quilter’s Corner with your class discount of 10%.

• Sewing machine in good working order
• ¼” quilting foot 
• 75/11 quilting or 80/12 microtex sewing machine needles
• Easy Does It 3-Yard Quilts by Donna Robertson - we'll be making the Farmhouse Chic quilt
• 3 one yard cuts of fabric
• 50 wt cotton thread
• Pins
• Seam ripper
• Rotary cutter designed for fabric (i.e. Olfa brand, not Fiskars!) with a new blade
• Cutting Mat - minimum 18” x 24”
• Creative Grids 8.5” x 24” ruler         
• Small scissors
• Backing and batting will be discussed during class.
