Aurifil 50wt Your best piecing and appliqué thread
Hand applique' : Ideal for all types of hand applique' . From needle turning to using prepared shapes, the 50wt is thin and with all the colors available you can match your shape perfectly.
Hand piecing : A great weight for hand piecing.
Lace : Wonder for both Bobbin lace & Machine lace.
Longarm quilting : Perfect for creating texture where you don’t want the thread to be a feature. Backgrounds, stitch in the ditch, basting quilts, wholecloth quilting, micro quilting for dense background designs. Match bobbin thread.
Machine applique' : Ideal when a very fine finish is desired. This weight disappears so your fabric is the feature. Use for a straight stitch, small zig zag , Blind hemming stitch , and Blanket stitch.
Machine embroidery : Love it! Great results every time. Use Mako 50wt in the bobbin as well, or your regular bobbin thread – in which case tighten the top tension a little. Use a Microtex 80/12 needle.
Machine piecing : Gives a great result with a nice flat seam every time.
Machine quilting : Use for very detailed machine quilting with a lot of back tracking such as feathers and heavy background quilting . Perfect for quilting that creates texture when you don’t necessarily want to see the quilting lines. Use the same thread in the bobbin. Use a Sharp/Microtex, quilting or even denim needles 80/12.
InvisaFil Thread
by Wonderfil Specialty Threads
InvisaFil Thread is very fine 100 Weight 2 ply soft cottonized poly thread. It is excellent for hand or machine quilting and appliqué, bobbin thread and precise piecing. If you do NOT like the feel of monofilament, InvisaFil Thread is an excellent alternative because of its matte finish and the very fine weight disappears into fabric.
100 wt Cottonized Soft Polyester Tone on tone InvisaFil virtually disappears. InvisaFil is perfect for stitch in the ditch, Top & bottom thread, bobbin thread for delicate machine embroidery, use as top and bottom thread for couching, lace designs, hand & machine appliqué, quilting, longarming, and excellent for fine fabrics. InvisaFil is available in 30 colors on 2500m spools and Mini Packs of 6 x 400m spools.
InvisaFil has become a favorite with long armers and home sewing machine owners. They love it in the bobbin with a different thread in the needle or visa versa. They also use them in the bobbin and needle at the same time. They are soft yet incredibly strong—however not strong enough to cut fabrics—and can be ironed if necessary. Being very fine and having a matte (not shiny) finish, they virtually hide on any quilt. Perfect for any quilting stitch, appliqué, sewing, or anywhere you don't want the thread to show.

NOTIONS

Each seam ripper has a sharp blade, safety ball & lid. Special plastic material grabs and removes excess threads from fabric.

Create perfect Log Cabin, Half-Log Cabin & Courthouse Steps blocks by squaring up each round of logs as you go. Since each round of logs is squared up before the next set is added, the results are spectacular. The exclusive embedded gripper holds fabric while cutting when pressure is applied.

Cut circles, semi-circles, & quarter-circles from 3in to 15-1/2in and every 1/2in in between. Cut a freezer paper template to the finished size & cut the fabric 1/2in larger to add the seam allowance. If you prefer piecing curves, cut the background and the circles with the same ruler!
